Braselton water and sewer bonds reaffirm "A" rating

Standard and Poor’s Global Ratings notified the Town of Braselton of its “A” rating reaffirmed on outstanding water and sewer revenue bonds.

Credit analyst John Schultz wrote, “The positive outlook reflects growing all-in debt service coverage and unrestricted liquidity.  The rating further reflects our opinion of the combination of a very strong enterprise risk profile and adequate financial risk profile.”

Standard and Poor’s Global Ratings, based in New York, has worked in finance for more than one hundred fifty years providing high-quality market intelligence in credit ratings, research and thought leadership.

Report highlights include a diverse customer base, very low industry risk, track record of account increases, and good operational management policies and practices.  It further lauds a 70% debt-to-capitalization ratio.

The town-owned water and sewer system service about 5500 customers in the four counties in which the town is located.
