Braselton Downtown Development seeks new member

(Braselton)  The Braselton Downtown Development Authority is seeking to fill a vacant seat on its seven-member board.

Chairman Hollie Hutchinson says applications are available for anyone interested in serving.  DDA bylaws require members to either be a resident property owner or an owner or manager of a downtown business.  One board meeting per month is required plus an additional ten hours per month for organizing and implementing projects and activities in downtown.  Also, state law requires specific training for newly-appointed DDA members in Georgia.

The Braselton Town Council will make the official appointment.  The four-year term will begin in July.
