The National Council on Home Safety and Security ranks Braselton as Georgia’s second safest city for 2019.
“To identify the safest cities in Georgia, we reviewed the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics,” according to the www.alarms.org report. Across the United States, “a total of 7639 cities were factored into this ranking with populations ranging from 7639 to 4,007,000.”
Georgia’s top ten safest cities, according to the report, are: Holly Springs, Braselton, Milton, Johns Creek, Kennesaw, Duluth, Peachtree City, Roswell, Grovetown and Bainbridge.
Braselton police chief, Terry Esco, said “Braselton still has that small town feeling even though it’s considered to be part of the Atlanta metro area. I feel we have the greatest group of law enforcement professionals in the state, and I am proud of them for all they do to make us the second safest city in Georgia.”
“It’s an enviable ranking,” added Mayor Bill Orr, “and it reflects the pride we have in our citizens and in our police department.”
