Chardonnay Trace Additional Lane Project
Contract has been awarded and  construction will begin when all construction materials have been delivered. Estimated at mid July 2021.

An additional travel lane will be added to Chardonnay Trace between SR 53 and the entrance to The Vineyard neighborhood

Davis Street and Pinecrest Lane Sidewalk Project

Design Underway
Estimated Construction Start Date: 2022

Sidewalks will be added along Davis Street and Pinecrest Lane.  Lighting and minor drainage improvements will be included.

Braselton Civic Center

Construction began early 2020. Completion expected
Braselton Civic Center Dark Stone Scene 1 November 2021.

The new civic center is located on Davis Street between the parking deck and the Braselton Brewing Co. Upon completion, this versatile facility will seat up to 504 attendees for banquets, weddings, reunions and conventions.

Conveniently located in Downtown Braselton next to the parking deck, the civic center is less than a mile from I-85 and close to area hotels. For more information, contact Tourism Director Nikki Perry 


Braselton Grist Mill Renovation and Expansion
Plans are being created for the construction.  Work expected to begin in 2023.

Library Addition
Estimated Construction Start Date: Early 2022
The Braselton library will be expanded to provide space for a new children's wing.  

Highway 211 Widening
Estimated Construction Start Date: 2021 for phase 1  
State update on construction funding
State Route 211 will be widened with the addition of auxiliary lanes, through-lanes, and two roundabouts.  Included in this project is a portion of the new Braselton Parkway Extension.

Estimated Construction Start Date for Phase 1: 2021
This new construction will connect the completed Hwy 211 project to the existing Braselton Parkway Extension at Jesse Cronic Road.


Brassie Lane  Sidewalk and Drainage Improvements

Riverwalk Phase 2
Estimated Construction Start Date: 2023
The existing Riverwalk will be extended from Liberty Church Rd to just past Hwy 124

Riverwalk Phase 3
Estimated Construction Start Date: 2022
The existing Riverwalk will be extended from It's current end in Hall County westward to the Northeast Georgia Hospital property.

71-Acre Park
Expected to be out to bid by August 2021 with estimated Construction Date of Winter 2021 (Phase 1)
The 71-acre tract on the south side of Hwy 124 and adjacent to the Mulberry River will be developed into a community park.

Multimodal Bridge Over SR 211
Estimated Construction Date: 2021
A proposed bridge over SR 211 for pedestrians, bikes and golf carts.  This project is funded through Gwinnett County SPLOST and is currently in permitting.
