The Braselton Woman's Club will meet on Wed., Nov. 7 at 12 noon, Country Inn & Suites, 925 Highway 124, Braselton, GA. 30517. Our guest speaker will be Michelle Black, Executive Director, Piedmont CASA. Michelle is a graduate of Georgia State University with a BS degree in Psychology. She comes to Piedmont CASA from the UGA where she worked with the Disability Resource Center and the Georgia Center for Assessment. Michelle began her relationship with the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children in 2003 serving as a volunteer advocate and then board chair of CASA Gwinnett. Michelle grew up in Barrow County.
All are cordially invited to join us and learn more about CASA. A lite lunch will be served.

Vineyard Fest 2018

With attendance limited to just 2,000 guests, Château Élan Winery & Resort’s annual Vineyard Fest has been a sell-out event for the past decade. Returning for its 22th year, Vineyard Fest has been scheduled for Sunday, November 11th, 2018. The event features more than 100 domestic and international wines for tasting, along with regional craft breweries and distilleries. The all-inclusive tickets also include cooking demonstrations and wine seminars hosted by professional culinary and winemaking teams, live music, a grape stomping booth and an assortment of locally-sourced foods. Brenau University Learning & Leisure Institute (BULLI) Winter Term Registration Plus a Free Mini Class!

Come take our free class and see how interesting and fun a BULLI class can be. Get information about Brenau University's lifelong learning program and the benefits of being a BULLI member. The Braselton curriculum committee will be offering five great courses this winter. BULLI membership also includes Gainesville course offerings, and several special interest groups too (hiking, poetry and book clubs). Classes start January 7 and end February 15. BULLI membership is required for all course registration.

Annual Parade, Holiday Marketplace, and the Traditional Lighting of the Tree
10am - 7pm
Downtown Braselton

Festivities are planned throughout the day to include a holiday shopping marketplace, the Town's very popular parade, visits with Santa and the Town's annual Lighting of the Tree ceremony.

The parade will pass through Historic Downtown Braselton beginning at 10:30am and will feature local high school marching bands, floats, classic cars, tractors and animal entries. This year's theme is "Reindeer Games."

Holiday shoppers will love all the specially selected vendors surrounding the Town Green from 10am to 5pm. Children will be delighted to peek inside the North Pole tent and meet with Santa. Parents are asked to bring their own cameras for picture taking opportunities. Food vendors will be serving up delicious edibles from 10am to 7pm.

Many of our Downtown businesses will offer sidewalk sales, activities, or promotions during the day. There will be an outdoor market with 30 vendors at Countryside Antiques along with a couple of food trucks. They are located at 115 Harrison Street near the Braselton Park and behind Northeast Georgia Bank.

At 5pm, the Braselton Rotary Club will host the Lighting the Tree ceremony, a tradition that dates back to the 1920's. The event will be filled with special musical selections, introductions, history of the event, and of course a special visitor will magically light the tree. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket as seating will be limited!
